About Us

Young Voices Europe stands for a freer and more flourishing future by platforming young people’s voices on important policy issues.

Young Voices Europe aims to lift up the voices of young people across the continent who believe in liberty.

The post-Brexit era is taking shape and the European Union continues to grow its own regulatory powers. National governments across Europe are inflating their power through large tax burdens and nanny statism. Meanwhile, threats from China and Russia loom large and ordinary people are struggling with inflation and the cost of living.

We want to stoke debate and encourage fresh, innovative thinking around key policy issues including free trade, the cost of living, consumer freedom, and the environment.

One of the great mistakes is to judge policies and programs by their intentions rather than their results.

Key Issues

Free Trade

In the aftermath of the pandemic, states are lurching toward trade nationalism. From harsh tariffs to regulatory trade barriers, governments are erecting all kinds of obstacles to free trade, which comes at the expense of consumers, who find themselves with restricted access to the market.

Cost of Living

As inflation takes hold and the cost of household bills skyrockets, families across Europe are worried about paying their bills. Increased state intervention and higher rates of taxation are only making the problem worse.

Consumer Freedom

On lifestyle issues like food, alcohol and smoking, the nanny state in Europe is booming. Politicians are taking more and more control of people’s lives and damaging public health outcomes through policies like sugar taxes and anti-vaping restrictions.

Energy & Environment

As energy bills shoot up across Europe, we are at a crossroads in our environmental policy. We must decide how to move on from fossil fuels, whether to invest in renewables, the best route to diversifying our energy sources, and what role nuclear power plays in our national energy portfolio.
